Finance Dashboard
Consumer Products

A business group of consumer goods firms was formed through the consolidation of many independent companies. One of the goals was to have the financial capability with a single dashboard that could have the income statements globally but also drill down to company level, with the equivalence of accounts ready to get the totals. The information was contained in various ERPs (Oracle Netsuite, EBS Suite, Contpaq, among others). Technically it was developed in Azure Data Factory and later Synapse, with visualizations in Power BI.

We migrated from Redshift, Cloudera, Snowflake, and other technologies to Azure Data Factory and Synapse in order to comply with the corporate decision to have a single strategy in a Microsoft environment. Through the visual creation of data pipelines for each nation and business sector as necessary and the storage of the data in a semantic layer for later use with Power BI, dashboards for sales, marketing, finance, etc., were built.

Inventories and Orders

In order to consolidate integral analysis views in Power BI with sales performance indicators at the executive level, product, therapeutic group, type of customer (Government, Hospital, or Private), etc., data pipelines were developed from SAP ECC, BW, and external files to Synapse. These pipelines were developed with all the business rules that apply to consolidate the sales, inventory, and order organization areas in a single semantic layer. When various business sectors are combined, KPIs like lead time, fill rate, and inventory days may be derived.
